Another Really Good Weekend

Another really good weekend for this RFR team. It started on Friday night at ARP. Jamie was second fastest in our qualifying group, which lined us up P3 for the heat race. The green flag flew and so did this 26 car, won the heat by a straightaway. In the feature Jamie started 5th. He ripped the cushion and worked his way up to 3rd, but we just didn’t have that extra little bit to advance any more.
Saturday we were at Fremont Speedway. The makeup feature from a few weeks ago started our night. Jamie rolled off in the 12th starting spot. When the race began the dust mixed with the daytime sun made it almost impossible to see. Jamie was virtually blind for the first few laps. When a caution flew on lap 5 the 26 was back to about 18th. When the green came back out so did the visibility. Jamie strategically maneuvered through traffic and worked his way up to a 4th place finish.
In the next portion of the night we started on the pole of the heat race and ran away with it. Started on the pole again for the feature but missed the setup just a little and fell back to a 3rd place finish. 2-3rds and a 4th make for a solid weekend of racing.
